The difference between these unlockable weapons and the regular guns is that the unlockable ones have infinite ammo, making speedruns far easier.
Outside of the core group of guns and upgrades in Resident Evil 2, there are also several unlockable weapons. There is also an optimal order for unlocking the weapons, as having some of the infinite weapons will make unlocking others a breeze.
The first few runs through the Resident Evil 2 remake are going to be tough, but once the infinite weapons are unlocked, subsequent runs will be easier to complete.
